Item came well before the estimated delivery date - by weeks! I purchased this to replace an old Nutone that bit the dust and because it has features that help with a retrofit installation, like an expandable metal frame that screws into opposing joist and into which the fan housing snaps when slipped in from below the ceiling. All steps can be accomplished from the room below although I chose to do some from the attic. The install went exactly as the enclosed instructions described. It moves plenty of air but I need to investigate certain things that seem out of place - specifically I don't know what 3 sones should sound like but it's louder than I was hoping. Also it takes like 10 seconds to fully start which may be an energy saving feature - my baseline comparison is with units 25 years old which started immediately when the switch was thrown. But it took so long to start that at first I thought I had wired it improperly. Lastly there are slight rattles probably due to the expandable frame moving a bit. I'll probably get back up in the attic and stuff some foam in various gaps to stiffen everything up. Otherwise good product.
