The shade is 18" in diameter with 6 dragonflies, each with glowing ruby red eyes. The lamp is extremely detailed with an array of various colored jewels that brilliantly shine. The brilliant Ruby colored dragonflies that encircle the lamp are surrounded by a white , brown and blue colored glass, creating a sense of elegance and uniqueness. I went to Lifetime International's website and found that what seemed to be the same lamp was $45 cheaper before shipping charges. This explanation makes no sense to me and leaves my question about price unanswered still.
Also, Amazon's advertistement says it is American stained glass, but there is nothing anywhere on the product, in the instruction/info sheet, or on the box that indicates WHERE it was made. The person who sent me the above-mentioned email says it was American made, but there is no proof.
Another drawback is that lightbulbs screw in to the sockets with some difficulty...
However, the shade is beautifully colored.
