I am the ultimate DIYer... starting back in the seventies when I took a raw loft in NYC and converted it to a living/workspace (photo studio and home), to restoring my 2nd vintage home (currently an 1868 colonial brick). I have done a decent amount of tile before... using manual slide cutters, nippers and rental wet saws. I am now getting ready to do one of the largest projects to date--a bathroom/laundry combo. I was looking for something to help me get the job done while moving at my own pace (i.e., not a rental). I checked out all sorts before deciding on this unit.

My first impressions were good:

1. Heavy base--won't move around.
2. Even though the top deck is sheet metal, it has stamped channels in it. It'll help shed water and is stiffer that if it were made flat.
3. Long enough cord... heavy duty.
4. Easy to find switch.
5. Removable tray... I considered the other low priced saws with self-enclosed reservoirs but couldn't picture the hassle of emptying them.
6. Strong motor... and very quiet. Certainly enough power to go smoothly through a 12" 1/4 thick ceramic time in about 8 seconds.
7. The blade is junk. I'm buying a new one. Ceramic tiles chipped when cutting on either side up.
8. The riving knife is bendy. I might make a new stiffer one if it gives me trouble. It can be adjusted via two screws though.
9. Water spray is minimal, even with the tray topped off. That is, with the guard on. Personally, I see no need to work without a guard unless doing inside cuts where you drop the tile down on the blade from above.
10. The guard and miter gauge are plastic but should hold up. After all, this is not a contractor saw. As long as it's not thrown in the back of a truck with all sorts of stuff on top, it should last a while.
11. The fence is a bit finicky: you have to unlock the lever and then twist the extended lever either clockwise or counterclockwise to loosen/tighten. If you can't lock the lever down because it's too tight, you need to loosen first and then push the lever down. The reverse if it's too loose to lock. Again, for the money, I wasn't expecting pro-grade.
12. The tray is awkward to remove when full--you have to tilt it up so high that you pour water underneath toward the motor as you lift it out. I'll keep a length of tubing when working so I can simply siphon off water when I need to. The tray has to be kept fairly full (there are min level lines on it) to keep enough water on the blade.

I'll see if I can update after using it a bit. Hopefully it will last through this bathroom job, the new kitchen I'm planing and the re-do of my other bath.

Update: After using the saw a bit more I'll make a couple of observations... It's not that powerful for 1/4 inch thick ceramic tiles, but taking your time helps make a very good cut. Also, the spray is more of a light mist... even when the guard is raised. I have found that when free-cutting tiles without the guide it helps to lift the back of the blade guard up and then lift the front until you JUST see your cut. Really, a bit of mist was no problem.
