I searched for months to find a shower arm long enough to hold my 12"square LED Rain showerhead. I was so excited to come across this one. When I received this arm it looked plenty long enough from the wall. Once my builder installed it in our new shower there were 2 problems. First the 12" showerhead is to heavy for this lightweight arm. Reveiws said it had been used with a 10" so I thought it was safe for a 12", but NO. The weight of the showerhead pulls down on the arm. The showerhead is very light 1.2lbs but in that 20"length of the arm it pulls the arm down 1-2inches which puts strain at the connected joint in the wall. 2nd problem is we needed to go with crome to match our fixtures, and when installing the arm with a cloth over it to protect it the wrentch left scratch marks on the arm visiable from across the room. Dissapointed it is not more sturdy. Beacause of this we are now thinking of busting through our walls and installing the showerhead from the ceiling to correct this problem.
