Malem Ultimate Bedwetting Alarm - Recordable Tone w/Vibration Review

My eleven year old daughter has cerebral palsy. Although she is very smart and can speak just fine, she cannot sit on a toilet without support. We have tried many doctor recommended ways to get her to use the toilet regularly, but none have been effective. She didn't recognize the signs of when she needed to go. The Malem Recordable alarm has worked very well so far. My daughter is sensitive to sound, so the recordable aspect allowed us to record her father's voice - something she is very used to and likes quite a bit. Since she is still wearing diapers, we ordered the additional standard sensor. The sensor instructions state to cut a slit in the diaper to insert the alarm. We did not like that idea. What good is a diaper with a hole in it? What has worked very well has been to cut open a women's mini pad and slide the sensor between its layers. We then attach the mini pad to the diaper using the mini pad's adhesive strip. She has been wearing the alarm for four weeks now. After about two weeks, she has become fairly accurate at realizing when she needs the toilet before the alarm sounds. She loves her alarm and is very proud of herself for using the toilet before the alarm activates. We will eventually tackle the nighttime. She has already gone a few nights completely dry.

When my wife and I decided to remodel our kitchen, one of the little things we looked forward to was a new faucet. Our old faucet leaked around the handle despite numerous attempts at fixing it, and, well, it was just plain ugly. We needed something new.

My wife had a few ideas in mind that made our choice easier. First, she wanted a unit that she could turn on with her elbow, so that freshly washed hands stayed clean. Secondly, she wanted a built in sprayer. Thirdly, she wanted a modern stainless steel look. We did some searching, but this Kohler model fit all our needs well, and had a great reputation to boot.

Well, so far, this unit has lived up to the Kohler reputation for quality. The sprayer head transitions from stream to spray easily with the flip of a rubberized switch, and it includes push button cut-off as well. The usefulness of such a combination of features is hard to fully explain, but it really comes in handy in a lot different faucet applications. The swivel faucet handle is easy to operate, even with an elbow, to help set just the right temperature and level of flow. I just can't tell you how much we love this faucet, and our friends who visit love it too.

The lamp was exactly what was represented although much more beautiful than the picture. It was easy to install. I like that it has 3 lights, unlike most fixtures that have only one or two. I had not opened the box until it was time to install
and much to my surprise and dismay..the back plate of the lever has HUGE "hot" & "cold" etched into it..I was afraid this would spoil the look but after installing I hardly paid any attention to it...
We have used Danze Parma hardware and fittings in both our bathroom remodels and they are HIGH HIGH end look and quality at really reasonable prices...I can't be any happier. They are so hefty and solid and well made. LOVE LOVE love.
