So glad we installed this power roof vent. It was relatively easy to install, is not obtrusive in appearance on the roof, and is doing a great job of ventilating and cooling our attic. It's helpful to set the thermostat to different settings depending on one's need. After a week or so, we lowered the setting to come on and go off when the roof temp is 90 degrees. That's exactly how it functions and has made a significant difference in the amount of time we need to turn on the air conditioning. It's great that we don't have to worry about turning it on or off ... it just turns on when it needs to and off when it doesn't. Some reviewers have complained about noise, but we do not find the noise level to be objectionable. We can hear it running, but not too loud. We researched vents for a couple of years before finding this vent on Amazon. We would recommend it highly to anyone needing a way to prevent heat build up in an attic area.
