First semi-custom knife purchase from Amazon. Price was ok.

This is about all you need for a hiking/bushcraft blade. Blade length is about right for anything you need a knife for.

The laminated VG-10 stainless steel is pretty nice, not crazy hard to sharpen, once you are/get used to sharpening convex grind knives. I really like the non-slip handle. Not the prettiest, but it works, and that is what matters.

I have about 6 Bark River knives, in A2 and 3V steels, and just the one Fallkniven. I am a Bark River crack addict, but, The Fallkniven isn't the prettiest, but it is the one that stays in my get home bag the longest for a comparison.

I don't use my knives to do an axe or hatchets job like some people feel compelled to do, so I can't comment on this sub 4" knife's kindle splitting abilities, but it does make a fine fuzz stick, and cuts raw animals/delicious food up quite nicely.

I haven't experienced any edge rolling or chipping like some people report, but like I said previously, I generally just use my knife to do a knifes job, and it does it admirably.

I got mine with the stock style sheath, because it was the cheapest, and while it is narrow, I didn't like the retention of it, and made my own kydex sheath instead.

So in summary, great survival/camp/backpacking knife if used properly. The sheath stinks so make or get one made if you are incompetent.
