It is basically a counterbalance with indicator. The box moves around the indicator, while indicator is designed to stay in place, level with the ground. If the forklift is not on flat surface you will have zero help in determining the fork positions in reference to the ground. The accuracy is horrific as the full tilt of forks of my pallet truck takes only about half of the scale. You can change the fork position by 10 degrees and the indicator does not even move. The built quality is very cheap and the unit should really not cost more than $20. Anyway it gives some help to inexperienced operators that might drive my lift so I decided not to return it. But if I new what I am getting I would not buy it.

The product was very easy to install. I liked the fact that the product is reinforced, which made it very strong and easy to handle while I installed it. I tried a different brand that tore pretty easily.

I'd buy the Aluma-Foil again.
